Double tree centraal Amsterdam – Breakfast

In one word Brilliant ! Amazing ! Probably the most complete breakfast I have ever see and I saw a lot ! You have all the classic plus all the rest… for example you have all the nuts plus chia seed, sunflower seed coconut shredded… and more… Let’s have a look !

Seeds nuts jams … cereals and granola …
A real whole rack of honey !
Extremely wide bread selection ….
cheese board !
Delicatessen, fish, fruit salad & yaourt….you also can find soy milk and almond milk !
Waffle, croissant, donut and French toast !
Classic scrambled eggs and bacon
Fried stuff like prawns and the asiatic space at the end with its Miso soup !
Asiatic dishes and of course….Sushis !!!

And yes with what you see are really sushis, And yes it’s breakfast ! you also can find champagne just beside orange and coffee… For sure, Amsterdam you know how to live !

Chocolate coated cereals

~ 6 Servings ~ Time 30 min  ~ Preheat oven 150C ~ 2 weeks in the fridge ~

Ingredients

  • 75g coconut flour

  • 3 tbsp Psyllium Husk

  • 3 tsp vanilla powder

  • 1,5 tsp baking powder

  • 80g coconut oil

  • 70ml boiling water

  • 1,5 tbsp coconut nectar

  • 75 g chocolate 70%

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven @ 15oC.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients coconut flour, psyllium husk, vanilla powder and baking powder.
  3. Melt the coconut oil in the boiling water add the coconut nectar. add to the dry ingredients, Mix well
  4. Place the dought on the silicon mat or parchment paper, roll till 1/4 cm thin. Place in the oven for 15/20 min or golden brown.
  5. Place the chocolate in a double boiler saucepan and melt it.
  6. remove from oven and brush with the melted chocolate.
  7. allow to cool down for 2h in the fridge, then cut in piece and keep 2 week in a airtight container. Serve with milk !

Original recipe @ Keto Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal

Meatloaf

~ 4 Servings ~ Time 1h30 min ~ Preheat oven 190C ~ 5 days in the fridge ~

Ingredients

  • 400gr ground beef

  • 400 gr mince pork

  • 180 gr bacon rashers

  • 5 eggs

  • 30 gr coconut flour

  • 15 gr Worcester sauce

  • 60 gr shallots

  • 2 garlic clove

  • 1 tbsp parsley dried

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven @ 190C.

  2. Mix the beef and the pork in a bowl

  3. Make a bacon “net” place on parchment paper.

  4. Peel and finely chop the shallots, crush the garlic mix in a bowl with coconut flour, parsley, Worcester sauce and 1 raw egg. Mix with the meat.

  5. Hard boil 4 eggs let cool down.

  6. Place the mix on the bacon net and parchment paper, flatten it place the hard boiled eggs in the middle in line. Wrap up the meat and bacon net around/over the eggs.

  7. Place in the oven for 45 min at 190C after that at 225C for 15 min more. remove from oven and let rest for 10 min before serving.

Classic scrambled eggs

~ 2 Servings ~ Time 20 min ~ 2 Days in the fridge ~

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. heat a pan with oil or butter.  
  2. Mix well the eggs and the milk.   
  3. Pour in the pan and pull slowly to have a fluffy result.   
  4. Add salt and pepper and serve.
